Our university offers its students a wide range of hobbies with student societies and clubs during their university education. We have student societies and clubs in almost every branch of
science, culture, and art. Our students enrich their social lives and develop a team spirit and a sense of social awareness through the activities of societies and clubs.
The societies and clubs of our University carry out their activities within the frame of AKU Student Societies and Clubs Direction. Students determine the rules of the societies and clubs according to the “Afyon Kocatepe University Student Societies and Clubs Codes of Practice”, and their establishments are approved by the Directorate of Health, Culture, and Sports. The societies and clubs of our University carry out the activities of seminar, exhibition, program education, panel discussions, conference, concert, poetry recitation, movie screening/documentary, interview/ audition, theatre, symposium, congress, meeting, festival, workshop, visit/ technical visit, and so on. The technical support is provided for these activities such as hall reservation, vehicle and equipment reservation, poster printing, and so on. We opened the Student Societies and Clubs Information System in 2018 and we monitor the activities of the societies and clubs quickly. The Societies and Clubs Centre of our University is near Vadi Café. All the societies and clubs have their separate rooms in the center. Moreover, there is a meeting hall having the capacity of 50 people. This meeting hall has a projector, internet connection, and a computer.
Above 70 student societies and clubs are active in our University and about 3000 students are active members of these societies and clubs.
